AuroraWatch UK is a free service offering alerts of when the aurora might be visible from the UK. It is run by scientists in the Space and Planetary Physics group at Lancaster University’s Department of Physics. Head over to our blog to “meet the team.”
Funding sources
AuroraWatch UK is a completely free service to its users. It does not sell data or use advertising revenue, but instead relies on ad-hoc funding from various sources. More details of our past funding can be found here.
Collaborations and Data Sources
The AuroraWatch UK team work with a variety of collaborators, and use a range of different data sources, to both improve the AuroraWatch UK service and to help with scientific study. A list of collaborators, and the exciting projects they work on, can be found here.
