Why share rather than tag?
You may notice that on all of our automated Facebook alert statuses we ask:
Please share this post with your friends instead of tagging them in a comment.
We ask that simply because a lot of people read the comments to find out if others have seen the aurora. Having people posting comments just to tag friends clutters up the status and makes it harder for others to find if the aurora has been spotted. Sharing does exactly the same job but doesn’t clutter the comments.
Any comments that simply tag other Facebook users will be hidden by the AW UK admins.
